Wrinkle Reduction

Wrinkles are formed over the years due to internal and external factors. Internal factors include active movements of our facial muscles and as the body ages, the components that hold a skin tight collagen, elastin and glucosaminoglycans are diminished, giving the skin a thin and wrinkled look. External factors include over-exposure to the sun can speed up the process of skin aging.

Small amount of Botulinum toxin such as Dysport or Xeomin is injected into the very active muscles and deduce the nerve impulses that causes muscle contractions over the wrinkled area. Hence it is able to relax the muscles in the localised area. Results are evident as the overlying skin is smoothened and wrinkles are reduced. Results is visible within the first 2 weeks of treatment.
